About

"The difference between traditional IT and Cloud Computing is the ability to scale up and down in an elastic manner with your costs adjusting accordingly. This is utility computing delivered."
- Ernest de León

Ernest is a CTO, Cloud Solutions Architect and Executive Consultant specializing in Cloud Computing and Virtualized Infrastructure. Ernest regularly designs and implements massively scalable elastic private clouds and dynamic datacenter infrastructures with the ability to federate or burst to public cloud computing services such as Amazon Web Services.

Routinely working with Cloud technologies such as Infrastructure as a Service, Platform as a Service and Software as a Service, Ernest brings the needed expertise to make a project succeed, within a defined scope, and within budget. The majority of implementations Ernest has worked with are in the Fortune 500 and Fortune 1000 spaces, and center around enterprise products from VMware, Microsoft, Citrix, RedHat and open-source projects such as OpenStack. These platforms are architected and designed to operate atop infrastructure products such as KVM, vSphere and Hyper-V.

Holding advanced degrees in Information Technology and Business, Ernest is a rare asset that understands the needs of the business as well as the deep technical issues that IT departments face. He has a natural talent in which he can explain difficult concepts easily to non-technical people as well as translate business goals and initiatives into robust technical solutions.
